What If…?

I’ve heard so many “What if”’s! The most popular:

🥴 What if no one likes my post?
😰 What if I don’t get any comments?
😞 What if no one shares my post?

Listen, I get it! Putting your authentic self out on social media is not easy!

But guess what?

If you never post anything about your business you’ll be getting the same amount of engagement you’re getting RIGHT NOW!! (P.S. – that’s none)

Think about it! You’re already not getting likes, comments & shares, so the only place you can go is up!

Plus, just because they’re not engaging doesn’t mean they aren’t watching! 👻 (ghost followers & lurkers are real!)

So post that video, pic, or Reel! You have everything to gain!

Who has time to post everyday?!

As a busy entrepreneur you have so many daily tasks & recording daily content to have an active presence on social media may not be at the top of your list.

But if you’re not posting consistently on social media you’re wasting a FREE resource to connect with your audience. Connecting with your audience helps them to LIKE, KNOW & TRUST you, and once they trust you they’ll be a customer for life!

So how do you post consistently on social media and not spend hours a day scrolling your timeline?

I’m so glad you asked! I’m happy to share my content marketing strategy with you!

Step 1- Map out your content Decide how often you want to post (1x/day, 3x/day, 10x/day) & calculate how many posts you’ll need for the month. Ex- if you decide to post 3x/day x 30days = 90 pieces of content. Brainstorm what you want to say to your audience & don’t be afraid to repeat yourself i.e. use the information from a video and turn it into a static post.

Step 2- Batch your content Now that your content is mapped out pick one day in the month, grab a couple of different outfits and record all of your videos and take pictures. If you’re worried about not having the wardrobe you can create a “uniform” for your shoot days. Wearing the same outfit for your videos takes that worry off of your plate and trains your audience. They’ll know when I see him in the red shirt I know he’s giving marketing tips, when I see her in the black shirt I know she’s talking about real estate advice.

Step 3- Schedule your content A good content scheduler is easy to use, allows you to post on multiple platforms, and gathers analytics from your accounts all in one place. If you have a Facebook business page, the Meta Business Suite comes with a planner and works for Facebook and Instagram. My favorite is Hootsuite and it allows you to schedule posts for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube and Pinterest. Whichever you choose, plug in your content, schedule the date & time for it to post & voila!

Say it With Your Chest!

I don’t know about you, but I hate when someone is trying to sell me a product or service and they don’t sound confident.

It has me wondering, are you trying to convince me or you that this product/service is something I need.

I’m not picking on you if this has ever been you, but you have to understand confidence sells!

You have to believe in yourself and your product to the point that it removes any doubt from the buyers mind. But if you seem timid and unsure that can make the seller unsure.

Here’s some tips on how to speak about your business with confidence:

Affirm yourself daily -some people look at daily affirmations as “whoo – whoo”, but your thought literally shape how you view what’s around you. Here are some examples of daily affirmations that will build confidence in your business “My business will help 100 entrepreneurs in 2022 create compelling content to market their businesses.”, “My clients and future clients see the value in what my business offers.”.

Practice your elevator pitch -remember when someone would get in trouble in school and the teacher would make them write the same sentence over and over again (maybe you were that student lol!) That’s because repetition helps you remember! If you consistently practice your elevator pitch, which is typically one or two sentences that explain what you do & how it helps people, then when someone asks you, you’ll be able to recite as easily as when they ask you what your name is.

DM your ten most recent followers -this is a great marketing tip to connect with your audience and build confidence in your business. Your new follower feels special because you reached out to them, and you have an opportunity to share the benefits of working with your business!

Try implementing these 3 things into your business this week if you find yourself. And remember, your potential client is borrowing your confidence in the transformation you provide to convince them to try it for themselves. If you believe it, they will too!
