Want to create dope content? Here’s what you need!

Maybe you’ve seen the wave of people making videos on social media and are thinking “Hey, I can do that!” Or perhaps you’ve already been creating content but want to step it up a notch.

It doesn’t matter if this content is to promote your business, you’re wanting to make money from content creation, or you just want to do it for fun! What I’m sharing below is for you!

Not gonna waste your time folks. The basics of making good content is: smooth video, good lighting and clear audio. Below are some tools to help you achieve that.

Smooth Video

If you already have a DSLR camera, that’s great! You’re on the right track! If not, that’s perfectly fine. The internet is favoring short form content and the quality of the technology in our smart phone cameras is getting better everyday! People are literally shooting movies with their iPhones! If it’s good enough for that you can definitely create your content with your smart phone as well.

Good Lighting

Being that we’re making VISUAL content, it’s very important that what’s happening in the video can been seen! Ring lights are very popular and have become super affordable over the years. You can also opt for a softbox lighting kit similar to what photographers use -both can be found on Amazon or Ebay. If you’re not a space to invest in lighting equipment utilize the daylight or shoot in rooms lightbulbs that mimic daylight.

Clear Audio

If the lighting it a little off, that’s not the worst thing ever. People will stick through a bad video if they can clearly hear what’s going on. And if you’re giving tips or info about your business or product, what you have to say is way more important than what you’re doing in the video. The free version is of course the built in microphone in your smart phone. For a boost up from that you can head to Amazon and get a mini portable mic. To got full top of the line I suggest a Blue Yeti mic -it’s very popular amongst podcasters and live streamers.

Last, but certainly not least, you want to make sure that after you’ve created all of this hard work that you edit your footage in a way that maintains the quality. For short form videos like TikTok VideoLeap and InShot are very popular. I personally have an Adobe Creative Cloud account and use Adobe Rush on my smart phone or tablet, and use Adobe Premier Pro on my Macbook.

I hope this helped you get a few steps closer to sharing the content you’ve created with the world!

If you found this helpful, share this with someone you know could use it! Also, if you have any questions feel free to comment below of reach out to me! I’d be happy to help!
